Badger

A number of species go by the name badger. All belong to the mustelid group of carnivores and are related to weasels and ferrets.

The Eurasian badger is perhaps the best known. American badgers inhabit plains and mountains in central and western North America. The ferocious honey badger, or ratel, of Africa and Asia is more weasel-like.
