Imagine a library with 10,000 books. You could put them all on a single DVD. And a Blu-ray disc could hold six times more!

But DVDs, Blu-rays, and CDs really hold nothing except long rows of bumps. So how does this technology work? How are books, music, and movies turned into bumps and then back again? And where's the limit to how much a small, spinning disc can hold?
