In the course of staying alive, your body creates wastes and excess water that must be released. The excretory system takes on much of the task.

The skin excretes sweat, the lungs give off CO2 and vapor, and the kidneys filter blood to remove wastes and excess water, which the rest of the urinary system removes. Despite its name, excrement — aka poop — is a digestive system product.
