Launchpad: Newton’s Laws

Sir Isaac Newton spent a lot of time studying how and why things move — or don't. He developed three rules that explain motion: inertia, how mass and force affect acceleration, and for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction.

We know these as the three laws of motion. And, it turns out, the International Space Station is an interesting place to see them in action.
