Squid

Squid are part of the mollusk group called cephalopods, from the Greek word for “head-foot.” These predatory invertebrates have a head with large eyes and a beaked mouth surrounded by 8 arms and 2 food-grabbing tentacles.

Squid display a number of tricks to confuse predators. They can easily change color and pattern, and they release a cloud of ink and water to help them escape.
