Exotic Birds in the Tropical Rainforest

Colorful plumage, exotic features, ear-splitting calls, and quirky behavior characterize much bird life in tropical regions. Tropical birds come in all sizes and shapes, from tiny hummingbirds to the enormous, flightless emu and ostrich.

They can be found from ground level to the tall tree canopy — but you’re more likely to hear their jungly calls before you see them.
